This Legend Valve 105-204 S-451 model is a brass swing check valve built for 3/4 inch pipe connections. It allows flow in one direction while preventing backflow in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The brass body resists corrosion in typical water supply installations. New condition ensures clean threads and an unseated disc ready for service.

Pressure and orientation limits

Swing check valves rely on gravity or flow velocity to close the disc, so they must be installed in horizontal or vertical-upward runs where backflow pressure can seat the disc reliably. They are not suitable for rapid-cycling systems or installations where a positive shut-off under low reverse pressure is required. California Proposition 65 warnings apply because the brass alloy contains listed chemicals.

Replaces worn or missing check valves

This valve replaces an existing 3/4 inch swing check that leaks, chatters or fails to close after years of service.
