Direct-fit gasket kit

This engine gasket set and oil seal kit is manufactured for Husqvarna chainsaw models 61, 66, 266, 268, 268K, 272 and 272XP. It replaces original part numbers 503 26 02-04 and 501 52 26-04. The package contains one complete engine gasket kit and two oil seals. It is designed for two-stroke, single-cylinder petrol engines.

Verify model and surface condition

Confirm the exact model marking on your saw crankcase before ordering, as the kit covers several similar displacements. Inspect the cylinder and crankcase mating faces for corrosion, deep scoring or warping that would prevent a proper seal. Ensure the crankshaft bearing seats are intact so the supplied oil seals can seat correctly.

Seal integrity under continuous cutting

The gasket materials are selected to maintain compression and resist fuel-oil mixture degradation during extended full-throttle runs. Both oil seals are sized to retain bar oil and exclude dust at sustained chain speeds. Heat cycling from repeated tank refills will not cause the gaskets to relax or the seals to harden prematurely.
