The JBL Professional AWC62 is a 6.5-inch two-way coaxial loudspeaker built for indoor and outdoor installations. Its weather-resistant enclosure handles moisture, UV exposure and temperature swings so installers can mount it in stadiums, water parks, pool areas or covered patios without a separate shelter. The light-grey finish blends into architectural surroundings while the bare-wire terminals speed up wiring on site.

70 V line practical limits

The speaker is rated for 70 V distributed-line systems, which lets a single amplifier run long cable runs to multiple units without heavy gauge wire. Power taps are fixed at the factory, so the installer cannot adjust wattage per zone after mounting. The 8-ohm nominal impedance works with standard 70 V transformers, but the fixed tap means each location draws the same preset power regardless of local SPL needs.

120 W RMS power handling decides fit

The driver handles 120 W RMS continuous pink-noise power, setting the maximum SPL the cabinet can sustain without compression or damage. System designers must match the amplifier channel to this rating; an undersized amp will clip before the speaker reaches its output potential, while an oversized amp risks thermal failure if driven hard. The 175 W peak figure only covers short transients and cannot be used for continuous sizing.
