The JBL BAR-700-MK2 is a 5.1 channel sound bar system that includes a 10 inch wireless subwoofer and two detachable battery-powered surround speakers. It connects to a TV through HDMI eARC with 4K Dolby Vision passthrough and supports Dolby Atmos. The soundbar uses six racetrack drivers measuring 44 by 80 millimetres and two 25 millimetre tweeters. Wireless music streaming is available via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB and optical inputs. Everything is controlled through the JBL ONE App.

Buyers who want true surround effects without running cables to the rear of the room will benefit from the detachable speakers that recharge on the main bar. Households that need clear dialogue at low volumes can use the PureVoice 2.0 and Night listening modes. This system is not suited for buyers who require more than 5.1 discrete channels or who need additional HDMI inputs for multiple game consoles or media players. It also does not fit installations that demand a separate centre channel speaker.
