Thunderbolt 3 bandwidth and display limits
Thunderbolt 3 carries both data and video over one cable, so the dock can drive an HDMI monitor at 3840 by 2160 at 30 Hz or 1080p at 60 Hz while simultaneously providing a VGA output at 1080p.
