Jancy Slugger
Annular drill bit cuts 9/16 inch holes to two inches deep and includes a pilot pin
The Jancy Slugger annular cutter with pilot is a drill bit designed for creating precise holes in metal. It serves fabricators, maintenance technicians and metalworking shops that need clean, burr-free results in structural steel or plate. The integrated pilot centers the cutter at the start of the cut.
The cutter mounts directly into the arbor of a magnetic drill press or a compatible drill stand with the correct adapter. Its pilot ejects the slug automatically, freeing the operator from manual removal and reducing downtime between holes. No coolant system is integrated, so external lubrication must be supplied.
The tool maintains a two-inch cutting depth during sustained drilling cycles, allowing through-holes in thick plate without step-drilling. The pilot ensures stability throughout the cut, preventing wander that can widen the hole under continuous feed pressure. Heat buildup is managed by the cutting geometry and applied coolant.
