J.V. Converting Company DC-1114 is a clear polyester film tape coated with aggressive synthetic hot melt rubber adhesive on both sides. It is designed for general-purpose bonding, mounting and laminating tasks such as nameplates or mouse pad assembly. The solventless adhesive delivers superior moisture resistance once bonded, making it suitable for humid environments. Ideal for splicing papers, plastics, films and foils.

Quick-Stick Application on 2.7 Mil Liner

The tape is wound on a white siliconized paper release liner that simplifies handling and positioning before final bonding. Excellent quick-stick properties allow immediate grab on contact, reducing the need for extended clamping or dwell time. Moderate temperature resistance means performance can decline under sustained high heat, so avoid applications near continuous heat sources. Ensure surfaces are clean and dry for maximum adhesion.

Limits of Rubber Adhesive on Clear Film

The synthetic rubber adhesive provides the highest adhesion level among clear film tapes in this range, yet it remains a rubber system with inherent temperature and chemical constraints. Long-term outdoor exposure or contact with strong solvents can degrade bond strength over time. The 60-yard roll length suits repeated workshop use but does not change the fundamental limits of the adhesive chemistry. For structural loads or extreme conditions, a different adhesive family is required.
