Hubbell SHC1044 Liquid-Tight Connector

The Hubbell SHC1044 is a straight, 1-inch liquid-tight cord connector built for industrial and commercial wiring runs that require a sealed entry point. Its pink gland colour code aids quick identification on dense cable trays. The aluminium body resists corrosion while meeting CSA and UL safety listings. Electricians and maintenance crews use it where moisture or dust could compromise standard fittings.

Cord diameter range 1.00 to 1.13 inches

This connector accepts a single cord with an outside diameter between 1.00 and 1.13 inches, threading into a 1-inch MNPT box opening. The straight body extends 1 5/8 inches from the enclosure face, giving enough reach for most panel layouts. It provides no external strain relief, so the cord must be supported separately when vibration or pull-out forces are expected. The uninsulated aluminium body does not add dielectric protection.

Replaces worn or undersized liquid-tight fittings

The SHC1044 steps in when an existing connector has cracked, corroded or no longer matches the cord diameter in service. Upgrading is worth it when the gland colour code must change for circuit tracing or when the installation demands the listed CSA LR27378 and UL E54218 compliance. It is not suited for cables outside the 1.00–1.13 inch range, for angled entries, or for applications requiring built-in strain relief or insulated throats.
