Aruba 2530 24-port Fast Ethernet PoE switch

The JL260A is a 24-port Fast Ethernet switch from the Aruba 2530 Series designed for small to medium business networks. It provides 10/100 Mbps connectivity for endpoints such as IP phones, wireless access points and surveillance cameras. Two Gigabit Ethernet and two SFP uplink ports allow aggregation to a core network. Its fanless construction ensures silent operation in office or classroom environments.

PoE capacity and uplink headroom

The switch delivers Power over Ethernet to compatible devices, removing the need for separate power adapters and reducing cable runs. The 24 Fast Ethernet ports handle everyday voice and data traffic, while the two Gigabit and two SFP uplinks provide higher-speed paths for link aggregation or fibre uplinks. Bandwidth-intensive servers or storage arrays requiring sustained multi-gigabit throughput will exceed the 100 Mbps access ports.

Fast Ethernet and uplink interface limits

Access ports operate at 10 or 100 Mbps, so devices needing gigabit speeds at the desktop cannot be supported. The two fixed Gigabit Ethernet ports and two SFP slots serve as the only high-speed egress paths, constraining total uplink bandwidth to the capacity of those four interfaces. Networks that require 10 Gigabit uplinks or PoE+ power budgets beyond the standard PoE specification fall outside this model's capabilities.
