Universal-fit hard hat liner

The Hot Rods RQ301 liner attaches to a hard hat with hook-and-loop fasteners and covers the head and ears. A chin strap secures the fit while the navy nylon shell and red polyester fleece lining provide three layers of insulation including a 4 mm foam centre. Tyvek-lined pockets accept heat packs for additional ear warmth and a reflective strip improves visibility in low light.

Hook-and-loop attachment limits

The liner relies entirely on hook-and-loop closures for both attachment to the helmet and chin-strap adjustment. Adhesion can degrade with heavy soiling, repeated laundering or exposure to oils and solvents common in automotive environments. The universal sizing means the fit depends on the wearer tightening the straps sufficiently; very small or very large head circumferences may not achieve a secure seal.

Three-layer warmth with heat-pack headroom

The 325 g construction combines nylon, fleece and foam to deliver substantial cold-weather protection for the head and ears. Insertable heat packs extend the comfort range further in extreme conditions. The liner offers no cooling or moisture-wicking technology, so it becomes unsuitable once temperatures rise or during high-exertion tasks where overheating is a concern.
