Passive NFC tag for Connecteam clock-in

The Honeywell NTAG213 tag works directly with the Connecteam app so staff can clock in and out by tapping a phone. No battery or external power is required because the tag draws energy from the reader field. An anti-metal layer lets it function on any surface, including steel beams or metal door frames. The epoxy coating protects the antenna from moisture and impact in rough environments.

Sustained operation on worksite walls

Because the tag is completely passive, its behaviour does not change over time or under repeated daily taps. There is no battery to degrade, no firmware to update and no power supply to fail. The epoxy shell resists abrasion and cleaning chemicals, so the read range stays consistent across shifts, seasons and high-traffic periods. Maintenance is limited to wiping the surface if it gets dirty.

Replaces punch clocks and paper sheets

This tag removes the need for a dedicated time-clock terminal, wiring or cloud-connected hardware at each entry point. The upgrade is worth it when you want digital records without installing powered readers on every door. It is not suited for sites that need long-range vehicle detection, multi-factor authentication or integration with proprietary access-control panels that do not support NTAG213.
