3-Inch PVC Basket Strainer for Industrial Plumbing

This basket strainer is built for industrial plumbing systems that require debris filtration in a 3-inch pipeline. The PVC housing and FPM gasket handle chemical exposure while the socket connection simplifies installation. It serves facilities that need reliable particle capture without metal corrosion.

Replaces Clogged or Corroded Inline Filters

When an existing strainer fails due to rust, cracked screens or pressure loss, this unit restores flow protection with a 150 psi rating. The jump is worth it when the system operates near that pressure ceiling and the media demands PVC chemical resistance. Older metal bodies that leak at the gasket are the typical upgrade trigger.

199.31 Square Inches of 1/8-Inch Mesh Screen Area

The screen provides enough open area to pass high volumes while trapping particles down to 1/8 inch. It comfortably handles continuous flow in cooling towers, irrigation mains and chemical transfer lines. Headroom drops when viscous fluids or heavy solids load the basket faster than the 199.31 in² surface can release pressure.
