The Eton Elite Mini receives AM, FM and shortwave bands in a pocket-sized chassis, so listeners can follow local stations or international broadcasts from a single device. A digital tuner and high-contrast orange display make frequency selection quick and accurate. The built-in clock, alarm and sleep-timer functions let the unit double as a bedside timekeeper. A lock button prevents accidental changes while the radio is stowed in a bag or pocket.

Internal AM antenna and telescoping FM/SW antenna

The ferrite bar antenna inside the case handles AM reception and works best when the radio is rotated for peak signal. Pulling up the telescoping rod extends the antenna for FM and shortwave, pulling in distant stations that the internal antenna alone cannot reach. No external cables, adapters or power supplies are included, so the two antennas are the only hardware that changes reception quality.

Simple setup with one common issue

Insert two AA batteries, extend the telescoping antenna for FM or shortwave, and use the digital tuner to select a station; the process takes seconds and requires no tools. The most frequent problem is weak AM reception indoors — rotating the whole radio usually solves it, but metal-framed buildings can still block the signal. The lock button avoids unintended power-on, yet users sometimes forget to disengage it and think the unit is dead.
