The Ergotron 97-827 SV adds height adjustability to the keyboard tray on a StyleView cart while keeping the existing back-tilt function and full 180-degree pan rotation. The arm supports a maximum load of 3.00 lbs and provides 6.00 inches of vertical lift. It is a new component intended for integration onto compatible Ergotron carts.

The spec that decides fit

This arm fits only the StyleView cart series SV40, SV41 and SV42; it will not mount to other cart models or to wall tracks. The keyboard tray must not exceed 3.00 lbs including any attached peripherals. Lift travel is fixed at 6.00 inches and tilt range is 6 to 20 degrees, so users needing greater height range or a different tilt angle should look elsewhere. Pan rotation covers the full 180 degrees.

Installing and common issues

Mounting hardware is included and the arm bolts directly to the cart’s keyboard tray interface, so installation typically requires only basic hand tools. The most common issue is attempting to fit the arm to a non-SV cart or to an SV model outside the 40-42 series, which leaves holes misaligned. Overloading the tray beyond 3.00 lbs can cause the lift mechanism to sag or fail to hold position. Ensure all bolts are torqued to the cart manufacturer’s specification to prevent wobble during pan rotation.
