4/5 AA 3.7 V Li-Ion cell

This 4/5 AA lithium-ion cell delivers 3.7 V nominal voltage and 650 mAh capacity in a 14430 form factor. It suits engineers and hobbyists building custom packs for compact electronics, medical devices or portable instrumentation where a standard AA envelope is required but higher voltage is needed. The tabs on both ends enable direct soldering or spot-welding without holders.

Tabs and currents for pack assembly

Solder tabs on each end remove the need for battery holders and free up internal space in tight enclosures. The cell accepts a maximum charging current of 0.65 A and sustains a maximum discharging current of 1.6 A, so the surrounding protection circuit and wiring must be rated accordingly. No charger or protection board is included; the builder must supply both.

Safety burden on the builder

The package contains only the bare cell; no charger, protection PCB, heat-shrink tubing or insulation is bundled. Because lithium-ion chemistry can vent or ignite if misused, the assembler must implement over-charge, over-discharge and short-circuit protection externally. Buyers without pack-design experience should choose a finished battery pack instead.
