High-Temperature Masking Tape for Powder Coating

This green polyester tape is built for powder-coating masking and for protecting ink cartridges on fax and copy machines. It uses a silicone adhesive that resists heat and releases cleanly. Each roll measures three-quarters of an inch wide by seventy-two yards long, and the case contains forty-eight rolls.

Capacity and Heat Resistance

The film is three-and-a-half mils thick with a tensile strength of fifty pounds per inch and adhesion rated at twenty-five ounces per inch. It withstands continuous temperatures from thirty-two to four-hundred-thirty-five degrees Fahrenheit. At the upper limit the adhesive holds without breaking down, but the tape is not rated for higher heat cycles or prolonged exposure beyond that range.

Silicone Adhesive and Clean Removal

The silicone adhesive system allows the tape to be peeled away after curing without leaving residue on masked surfaces. Elongation of one hundred percent lets the film conform around edges and irregular shapes during application. No dispensers, cutting tools or additional supplies are included in the case.
