5 hp Washdown Motor for Wet Environments

This 5 hp three-phase motor is built for washdown duty in food processing, packaging and pharmaceutical plants. Its totally enclosed fan-cooled steel frame resists high-pressure cleaning and corrosion. The 184T frame and rigid base suit horizontal mounting on conveyors, pumps and mixers.

Dual-Voltage Operation with 1.15 Service Factor

Rated for 230/460 V AC at 60/50 Hz, the motor draws 12.5 A at 230 V or 6.2 A at 460 V. A 1.15 service factor provides headroom for intermittent overloads such as start-up surges or viscous product changes. Continuous duty at 1755 RPM is sustained up to 40 °C ambient without thermal protection.

Reversible Rotation and Class F Insulation

The shaft runs clockwise or counter-clockwise to match driven equipment without rewiring. Class F insulation withstands the heat of frequent starts and stops in washdown cycles. No bundled accessories or software are included; the motor ships as a standalone unit ready for direct coupling.
