Brass Solenoid Valve Body

The Dayton 2CZZ8 is a two-way, normally closed valve body machined from brass with a 1/4 inch pipe connection and a 3/32 inch orifice. It provides a Cv of .22 for controlling air, inert gas, or water in plumbing and fluid-control systems. The body is rated for indoor and outdoor environments with a maximum fluid temperature of 180 degrees F. It ships without a coil, so the user must supply a compatible actuator.

Replaces Worn Valve Bodies

This body directly replaces a failed or leaking brass solenoid valve of the same pipe size, orifice, and pressure rating in existing equipment. The jump is worth it when the original body shows corrosion, seat wear, or cracked ports that cause internal leakage or flow restriction. It restores the original 300 psi maximum operating pressure differential for both air and water service without changing the plumbing layout. The minimum operating differential remains 0 psi.
