Shaft Collar for 1-1/2 Inch Bore

The Climax Metal Products C-150-A is a one-piece set-screw collar machined from 6061 aluminium. It fits a round shaft with a 1 1/2 inch bore and presents a 2 1/4 inch outside diameter. The 3/4 inch width and carbon-steel screw provide a secure grip for light-duty power-transmission assemblies. Collectors of vintage hardware will also appreciate the clean, transparent finish.

Capacity and Headroom

The 2.25 inch clearance diameter gives ample room for standard shafting while the single-piece design keeps installation simple. The aluminium body handles moderate radial loads but will deform before a steel equivalent under high torque or shock loading. The set screw bites reliably on unhardened shafts; hardened or oversized shafts may slip or damage the bore.

Inch-Series Interface Limits

As an inch-series component the collar matches fractional shafting only; metric shafts will not seat correctly without a custom bore. The lack of a keyway means torque transmission relies entirely on screw friction, limiting use to low-speed or positioning applications. Threaded or keyed shafts are not compatible with this smooth-bore design.
