The Cisco 8841 IP Phone is a corded VoIP endpoint built for midsize to large enterprise environments. It provides five programmable line keys and a 5-inch backlit colour display with an 800 x 480 resolution. The handset and base both use corded connectivity, while dual RJ-45 ports support Power over Ethernet for simplified deployment.

Sustained voice quality and ergonomic flexibility

Wideband audio delivers consistent crystal-clear voice fidelity across extended calls, and encrypted signalling maintains security throughout each session. The full-duplex speakerphone masks audible DTMF tones during hands-free operation, preserving privacy during long conferences. A two-position foot stand locks at 35 or 50 degrees, and the stand can be removed entirely for wall mounting using integrated base holes.

Unified Communications dependency and PoE limits

The phone requires Cisco Unified Communications Manager or Unified Communications Manager Express to unlock its full feature suite, including the User Connect License. Both network ports operate as standard RJ-45 PoE interfaces, so the switch infrastructure must supply adequate power budget per port. No wireless, Bluetooth, or analogue fallback is present, limiting placement to cabled Ethernet drops.
