The Cisco 7861 IP Phone is a corded VoIP handset built for office workers who need up to 16 line appearances on a single device. It runs the Session Initiation Protocol and draws power through IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at Power over Ethernet, so no separate power supply is required. The 3.5-inch 396 by 162 pixel display shows call details and menus at a glance.

Enhanced User Connect License and dual RJ-45 ports

The bundled Enhanced User Connect License unlocks the full feature set for a single user, including Busy Lamp Field, call-back, auto-answer and adjustable ringing levels. Two RJ-45 network ports allow the phone to sit inline between the wall jack and a PC, sharing one cable drop while passing Ethernet traffic through. Media encryption uses SRTP with AES-128 and signalling encryption uses TLS with AES-128 or AES-256.

Wall-mountable chassis with integrated security

The handset weighs 1053 grams and measures 207 by 265 by 28 millimetres without the foot stand, giving it a solid feel on the desk or on a wall bracket. Built-in certificates handle image, device, file and signalling authentication, while 802.1X network access control and encrypted configuration files protect provisioning data. Acoustic echo cancellation, dynamic noise reduction and comfort noise generation keep voice quality consistent in busy environments.
