The Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM is a wide-to-telephoto zoom lens built for Canon APS-C EOS DSLRs. Its focal range covers everyday scenes from landscapes to portraits. EF-S mount limits use to APS-C bodies

This lens uses the EF-S mount, so it fits only Canon APS-C DSLR cameras. It will not mount on full-frame EOS bodies or on EOS R mirrorless cameras without an adapter. The aperture range runs from f/3.5 at the wide end to f/38 at minimum. One UD element and one aspherical element help control chromatic and spherical aberrations.

Straightforward mount with a zoom-lock caution

The lens attaches like any EF-S optic: align the white index, twist until it clicks, and set the camera to AF for Nano USM operation. A common issue is zoom creep when the camera points downward; the zoom ring can extend under its own weight. Engaging the zoom lock at 18mm prevents this during transport or angled shooting.
