The Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM is an L-series zoom covering wide-angle to short-telephoto focal lengths with a constant f/4 maximum aperture. Version II features a redeveloped optical design using four aspherical elements to reduce distortion and spherical aberrations throughout the range. A ring-type USM with internal focusing delivers quick, quiet and accurate autofocus alongside full-time manual focus override. This bundle adds a 77mm three-piece filter kit, a lens cap keeper and a cleaning kit for immediate use.

Mount and handling needs

The lens uses the Canon EF mount for DSLR camera bodies and accepts 77mm threaded filters, matched by the included filter kit. The supplied EW-83M hood attaches to the front to shield the front element from stray light. Weather sealing on the barrel helps resist dust and moisture during outdoor work, while a fluorine coating on the front and rear elements repels smudges for easier cleaning with the provided kit.

Sustained shooting behaviour

A four-stop-effective Image Stabilizer minimises camera shake during extended handheld sessions, supporting sharper results at slower shutter speeds. Air Sphere Coating on individual elements suppresses flare and ghosting when shooting toward bright light sources over long periods. Internal focusing maintains a constant lens length, preserving balance on a tripod or gimbal throughout the zoom range without shifting the centre of gravity.
