Bryant
A 20 A 125V AC duplex receptacle with tamper-resistant shutters, CSA and UL 498 listed
The Bryant 8300HBTR is a straight-blade duplex receptacle rated for 20 A at 125V AC. It provides two grounded outlets in a single-gang form factor for residential or light-commercial branch circuits. The brown nylon housing resists impact and heat during daily use.
This device mounts flush in a standard single-gang electrical box and accepts NEMA 5-20R plugs with two poles and three wires. The straight-blade orientation allows direct insertion without angled clearance. Polarised slots ensure correct hot-neutral alignment for connected equipment.
Internal shutters block access to live contacts unless both plug blades are inserted simultaneously, reducing shock risk in households with children. The receptacle meets UL 498, CSA C22.2, Federal Specification W-C-596 and NEMA WD-6 standards for safety and performance. No cover plate is included with the unit.
