Matching wavelength pair

The single specification that determines compatibility is the exact 1270 nm transmit and 1330 nm receive wavelength combination. Both ends of the link must use transceivers with the opposite Tx and Rx wavelengths, otherwise the link will not establish. Confirm that the existing module or patch panel uses the complementary 1330 nm Tx and 1270 nm Rx pairing before ordering. The 10 Gbps rate and 10 km reach are secondary to this wavelength match.

Straightforward LC installation

The module plugs directly into any standard SFP+ cage with an LC duplex connector and is recognised automatically by compatible Arista switches. Digital optical monitoring allows immediate verification of signal levels after insertion. The most common issue is connecting two modules with identical wavelength pairs, which prevents the link from coming up.
