This product is a liquid compound that brushes on to seal and insulate wire connections. It forms a flexible, weather-resistant coating once cured. The 4 oz container suits automotive wiring repairs, trailer lighting harnesses and general low-voltage splicing jobs. It replaces traditional vinyl tape where a conformal, moisture-proof barrier is preferred.

Practical Limits Of The Brush-On Method

The coating protects against vibration, salt spray and intermittent immersion typical of under-vehicle wiring. It is not rated for continuous high-temperature exposure above engine-manifold heat levels. The film remains tack-free after a short air-dry period but reaches full dielectric strength only after the solvent fully evaporates. Large-gauge cables or high-current terminals may need multiple coats to achieve the same insulation thickness as wrapped tape.

Installation Tips And Common Mistakes

Apply thin, even layers rather than a single heavy coat to avoid runs and trapped solvent bubbles. Allow each layer to skin over before adding the next.
