Application fit

The Blucher PH2 pipe hanger is a swivel-loop support made from 316 stainless steel for four-inch pipework. It suits marine, chemical or food-grade installations where chloride resistance is required. The EPDM rubber cushion material is listed but the hanger is supplied without cushioning. Builders needing insulated or plastic-coated supports should select a different model.

Critical specification

The single detail that confirms fit is the half-inch BSP threaded rod size; the hanger will only accept rod cut to that exact thread standard. Using metric or NPT rod will prevent secure mounting and invalidate the design load. No adapter is included, so verify rod stock before ordering.

Sustained service behaviour

Grade 316 stainless steel maintains structural integrity and corrosion resistance during continuous exposure to salt spray, cleaning agents or process fluids. The swivel loop accommodates thermal expansion and vibration without transferring bending stress to the rod connection. The uncushioned metal-to-pipe contact transmits vibration directly, so systems sensitive to noise transmission may require additional isolation.
