Fiber-to-Ethernet media conversion

The BFKK converter translates a 10G SFP+ optical link into a copper RJ45 port, letting devices without SFP cages join a ten-gigabit backbone. It accepts standard 10GBase-X modules and also works with 1G transceivers, so the same box can serve mixed-speed environments. Power, SFP and RJ45 LEDs show link status at a glance. No software setup is required; the unit negotiates speed automatically once cabled.

Replaces separate transceivers and switches

Instead of buying a dedicated SFP+ switch or multiple fixed-speed media converters, this single unit handles 10G, 5G, 2.5G, 1G and 100M rates through auto-negotiation. The jump is worth it when you need to extend a fiber run to a desktop, server or NAS that only has an RJ45 jack. Note that 10G operation requires Cat6a cabling; slower speeds will fall back on lesser grades.

Fits wall-mount or rack installations

The compact metal enclosure has cooling vents on both sides and includes mounting points for walls, equipment boxes or computer-room racks. An external power supply connects to the barrel jack, freeing internal space in crowded cabinets. MDI/MDIX auto-crossover removes the need for crossover patch cords, simplifying cable management in home, commercial or industrial deployments.
