This 7.2 V 2200 mAh lithium-ion pack powers compatible ICOM handheld transceivers. It replaces original part numbers BP-230, BP-231 and BP-232 across the A14, F14, F15, F16, F24, F25, F26, F33, F34, F43, F44, 3011, 3021, 3061, 3062, 3162, 4011, 4021, 4029, 4061, 4062 and 4162 model families. The cell chemistry is Li-ION and the colour is black.

Practical limits of the 7.2 V Li-ION interface

The 7.2 V nominal voltage fixes the energy available per charge at 2200 mAh, so operating time is bounded by that capacity and the radio's current draw. Lithium-ion chemistry does not suffer from memory effect, yet it still degrades with deep discharge cycles and extended storage at full charge. The pack cannot be fast-charged beyond the radio's built-in charger specification, and it will not operate outside the temperature range the radio itself tolerates.

The casing survives six drops onto all six faces from a height of six feet without cracking or losing power delivery. Highest-grade cells are used throughout the assembly.
