This BiDi SFP transceiver delivers up to 1.25Gb/s over a single LC connector using 1310nm transmit and 1550nm receive wavelengths. It is built for network engineers and system integrators deploying 1000Base-LX Ethernet or 1-Fibre Channel links across metro or access networks. Hot-pluggable operation allows insertion or removal without powering down the switch or router. The module draws power from a single 3.3V supply and suits environments from -40°C to 85°C depending on the selected version.

Single-mode reach and wavelength pairing

The transceiver is rated for up to 20km on 9/125µm single-mode fibre, providing headroom for campus or metro spans. It runs out of margin when fibre attenuation, splice loss or connector loss exceed the link budget for 1.25Gb/s operation. The fixed 1310nm FP laser and 1550nm PIN photo-detector wavelength pairing means both ends must use complementary BiDi modules with opposite Tx/Rx wavelengths. It is not suited for multi-mode fibre, longer-haul 40km+ paths or non-BiDi equipment expecting matched wavelengths.

Ten-pack bundle for spares and rollout

The product ships as a ten-piece pack so installers can equip multiple sites or keep cold spares on hand without placing repeat orders. Each unit is individually ready for immediate deployment in compatible SFP ports from vendors such as Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti, Mikrotik, Fortinet, D-Link and Supermicro. No configuration software, licences or proprietary cables are included; the modules operate as standard MSA-compliant transceivers upon insertion.
