9V 1A universal AC adapter kit

This compact power supply converts mains input of 100-240V at 50/60Hz into a regulated 9V DC output rated at 1A and 9W maximum. It ships with a fixed 5.5mm x 2.5mm tip-positive plug plus ten interchangeable tips, forming an 11-in-1 kit that suits Arduino UNO R3 boards, Nixie tube clocks, Elegoo MEGA 2560 units, Schwinn elliptical trainers and similar low-current 9V devices. The 93cm (37 in) cord gives flexible placement on a bench or desk.

Five protection circuits and thermal design

Over-temperature, short-circuit, undervoltage, overvoltage and overcurrent protections are built in, and each unit passes a load aging test before shipment. The adapter runs cool and silent in normal use because it has no moving parts and operates well below its 9W ceiling when powering typical microcontroller or sensor loads. Running at up to 80 percent of full load is recommended for longest life.

Replaces single-tip wall warts and lost chargers

The kit eliminates the need to hunt for a matching barrel jack when the original supply is missing or damaged. It is not suitable for keyboards, guitar pedals or any device that requires a tip-negative centre pin, because the polarity is fixed as inside positive. Buyers who need more than 1A at 9V or a different output voltage should select a higher-rated supply instead.
