7-inch HDR Monitor-Recorder-Switcher

The Atomos Shogun 7 is a professional camcorder accessory that combines a precision HDR monitor, recorder and switcher in one compact unit. It is built for film and video professionals who need a consistent visual reference across field monitors. The device supports stand-alone operation as well as integration into large-scale productions.

Episodic TV and live documentary crews

This unit suits cinematographers, focus pullers and grips working on episodic TV series, cinematic films or live documentaries. It handles on-set monitoring, analysis and tagging with real-time Dolby Vision output. Buyers who need internal camera recording only or who do not require multi-source switching should consider simpler monitors.

Four live HD SDI streams plus one program stream

The Shogun 7 can monitor, record and switch between four live HD SDI video streams and one program stream simultaneously. Asynchronous switching and gen lock in/out allow integration with existing infrastructure. This multi-stream capability is the specification that determines whether the recorder fits a multi-camera directing workflow.
