Galvanised Reducer for 1-1/2" to 1" Pipe

This malleable iron coupling joins a 1-1/2 inch female NPT pipe to a 1 inch female NPT pipe. The galvanised coating resists corrosion in water and air lines. It is rated for Class 150 service and Schedule 40 pipe. The fitting suits installers who need a durable, threaded transition between two pipe sizes.

Limited to 300 psi at 150 °F

The coupling withstands a maximum operating pressure of 300 psi at 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Higher pressures or temperatures exceed the Class 150 rating and are not supported. Systems requiring greater pressure capacity or different thread standards will need alternative fittings.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 1-1/2" x 1" reducer or a different size for my Schedule 40 piping?

This coupling is made for Schedule 40 pipe with 1-1/2" FNPT on one end and 1" FNPT on the other; match those exact thread sizes to your existing pipe ends.

What does the 300 psi @ 150°F rating mean for my water supply line?

The Class 150 galvanized malleable iron body is rated to hold 300 psi at temperatures up to 150°F, so it handles typical residential and light commercial hot or cold water pressure.
