This AMT model kit reproduces the Lil' Roamin' Chariot show rod at 1/25 scale and carries a Skill Level 2 rating for intermediate builders. The box contains 80 detailed parts molded in white with chrome-plated trim pieces, black vinyl tires and metal axles. It targets adult hobbyists who enjoy classic 1960s custom car culture and want a creative project distinct from standard production car kits. Paint and cement are required to finish the model and are not included.

Assembly Requirements

Before starting, verify you have model cement and a selection of paints suited to polystyrene plastic, as neither is supplied in the box. The kit includes a detailed custom chassis, engine components, twin tiller steering unit, instrument panel, fuel cask, "Ben Hurst" shifter and "Eyes of March" headlights that must be assembled in sequence. Colorful decal artwork and chrome trim that can be striped with silver paint provide the final decorative details. A clean, well-lit workspace and basic modeling tools will help manage the multi-part sub-assemblies.

Finishing and Display

Once assembled, the model presents a hard-hat body with upholstery, "Big Brutus" slicks and Hadrian headers that capture the outrageous show rod aesthetic of the 1960s. The finished piece is a static display collectible with no moving mechanisms, electronic components or power requirements. Thermals, noise and power draw are therefore not applicable; the kit simply sits on a shelf or in a display case once paint and cement have cured. Handle with care to protect the chrome accents and decal surfaces.
