The American International TTR992 kit enables a double-DIN head unit to sit flush in the factory dashboard opening of select Toyota and Scion models produced between 2000 and 2017. It is aimed at owners who want modern infotainment without altering the original interior trim. The vehicle-specific moulding matches the factory texture and colour so the finished install looks OE. No cutting or fabrication of the dash is required.

Wiring and mounting freedom

The kit supplies the brackets and trim pieces needed to secure a standard double-DIN chassis behind the original dash panel. It clears the factory radio cavity so no structural modification is needed, freeing the installer to focus on wiring harnesses and antenna adapters. Steering-wheel control interfaces and backup camera inputs can be added separately without interference from the kit itself. The opening accepts any aftermarket unit that conforms to the double-DIN footprint.

Model-year coverage limits

The package covers a wide range of Toyota models including 4Runner, Celica, Echo, FJ Cruiser, Highlander, Matrix, MR2 Spyder, RAV4 and Yaris across the listed years. Scion coverage spans the FR-S, iQ, tC, xA, xB and xD within the same period. The 2013 to 2015 Subaru BRZ is also included. Vehicles outside these model-year combinations or those equipped with a factory navigation screen larger than three inches are not supported by this kit.
