Platform Dolly for Heavy Loads

The Akro-Mils 30661 platform dolly moves bulky items across workshops and warehouses. Its steel deck measures 37 inches by 25 inches and stands 6 inches high. Four thermoplastic swivel casters with a 4-inch diameter support a 500-pound capacity. The gray finish resists wear in industrial settings.

Users Needing Low-Profile Transport

Builders shifting sheet goods, crates or machinery within the 37-by-24-inch maximum rectangle will find the solid lip-down deck secure. Operations requiring powered lifting, side loading or capacities above 500 pounds should evaluate alternative equipment.

500-Pound Load Rating

The 500-pound capacity is the single figure that determines whether this dolly suits the task. Exceeding it risks structural failure and caster damage. Verify the combined weight of load and container before use.

Questions about this item

What does the 500 lb load capacity mean when the dolly is in use?

The dolly supports up to 500 lb of evenly distributed weight on its steel platform, so it can move heavy bins, equipment or bulk materials without bending.

How do the 4-inch thermoplastic swivel casters affect manoeuvrability?

Four 4-inch by 2-inch thermoplastic swivel casters allow the platform to turn in tight aisles and roll smoothly over concrete, epoxy or asphalt floors.

Will a 37 by 24 inch container fit on the 25 by 37 inch platform?

The platform measures 25 inches long by 37 inches wide, while the maximum recommended rectangle is 37 by 24 inches, so a 37 by 24 inch container fits with the longer side across the width.
