Cisco Meraki Compatible SFP+ Copper Transceiver

The AddOn MA-SFP-10GB-T-AO is a hot-pluggable SFP+ transceiver delivering 100/1000/10000Base-TX throughput up to 30m over copper cabling. It uses an RJ-45 connector and supports auto-negotiation across all three speeds. The module is programmed, serialized, and tested to initialize and perform identically to Cisco Meraki® original equipment. It complies with Multi-Source Agreement standards for seamless network integration.

Check Switch Port Type and Cable Reach

Before ordering, confirm the target switch or router accepts SFP+ form-factor modules and supports copper RJ-45 transceivers at the required speeds. Verify that the link distance between devices does not exceed 30 metres, as this module is rated for that maximum reach. Ensure the cabling is Category 6a or better to reliably handle 10000Base-TX operation. The module is Trade Agreements Act compliant for regulated procurement requirements.

Thermals Noise and Power in Normal Use

As a passive copper transceiver, the unit operates without an internal fan, producing zero acoustic noise during normal operation. Power draw is low, typical for SFP+ RJ-45 modules, and heat is dissipated through the metal housing into the host cage airflow. The operating temperature range spans 0 to 45 degrees Celsius, suitable for standard data-centre and wiring-closet environments. No additional cooling provision is required beyond normal chassis ventilation.
