3/8-Inch Ring Terminal for 14 AWG Wire

These 3M heat-shrink ring terminals accept 14 to 16 AWG conductors and fit a 3/8-inch stud. The blue insulation shrinks to seal the crimp against moisture and vibration. Each pack contains 25 pieces rated for 600 volts and temperatures up to 221 °F. They suit automotive, marine and industrial wiring jobs that need a durable, insulated connection.

Upgrade from standard vinyl

Heat-shrink insulation replaces older sleeve types by adding an environmental seal at the same crimp point. The jump is worth it when wiring runs through engine bays, bilges or outdoor equipment where water, oil or road salt can corrode a bare crimp. The brazed barrel and tin-plated copper tongue maintain conductivity after the shrink step.

Simple crimp-then-heat installation

Strip the wire, insert it into the 0.09-inch barrel, crimp with a standard 14 AWG die, then apply heat until the tubing shrinks and adhesive flows. The most common error is using a torch flame too close, which scorches the tubing before the adhesive activates. A hot-air gun at moderate distance gives consistent results without damaging the 0.47-inch tongue or the 1.1-inch overall length.
