The tubing shrinks at a 2:1 ratio when heated, so the recovered diameter is half the supplied size. Continuous operating range is -67 °F to 275 °F, and the material resists acids, alkalis and common solvents. It is not flame-retardant, so it must not be used where a self-extinguishing rating is required by code or specification.

Simple installation with basic heat tools

Cut a stick to length, slide it over the joint, and apply a heat gun or similar source until the tube fully recovers. No adhesive lining means the seal relies on mechanical interference alone; ensure the underlying connector is clean and correctly sized. Overheating can split the thin wall, so apply heat evenly and stop once shrinkage is complete.
